Another day, another stirrup-less Ketea training ⚜️☀️

Sometimes, when your feet come out of the stirrups you feel insecure, improperly grip with your legs or adjust your seat to this new feeling.. but not our rider @galejci10 🤩🙌🏻

Have you ever lost your stirrups during the round?

I have, and not just once 🙈

Nina and her Diamant’s Dream 🐴 at Slovenian National Championship 💫

Diamant’s Dream (Diamant de Semilly x Concreto) is a 8 year old powerful stallion (2013) currently competing at 140 cm rounds with 24 yo Nina Jovovic, slovenian ambitious showjumping rider. Can’t wait to see them in the 2021 season 🏆.

But the Champagne matching set though 😏 it suits him perfectly 🤩⚜️

Dear @teakeluc 🥳 The best showjumping trainer,

We can’t wait for the start of the new competition season 🤩 but...

... the future of competitions is unclear due to european outbreaks of the EHV-1. Unlike the last year, when we had to obey COVID-19 restrictive measures, this year, we will have take care of our horses too 🐴.

By now you have probably heard about a dangerous herpes virus that is threatening health of our 🐴 as well as international equestrian sport. It is affecting the equine central nervous systems. Some of the signs of EHV-1 infection to look out for are 💡:
- lack of coordination
- loss of sensation
- inability to void the bladder properly
- head, body weakness

The virus can be spread by direct horse-to-horse contact (by respiratory tract), as well as indirectly through physical objects that are contaminated with the virus (tack, human clothing, transporting trailers, wipe rags,...). 🦠

Our horses were previosly vaccinated 💉 for EHV-1 this week with aim of increasing immunity and perhaps reducing spread of the potential infection. We surely support vaccination, because that is the only known way to help contain the EHV-1.

Let’s conclude on a positive note... is there anyone who will be attending competitions for the first time? Comment or send us direct message, we have prepared something for you ⬇️📥💝🛍🤩

Our hearts go out to all horses, owners, riders and everyone involved in the most serious EHV-1 outbreak in Europe for decades... Pray for horses ❤️

Ketea gymnastics 25.02.2021 ☀️🤸🏼‍♀️ The course plan is saved in highlight ‘Training ideas’ 💡

Rider Ziva and Fleci 🐴 doing some gymnastic riding exercises. If done correctly, gymnastics target specific muscle groups to increase a show jumper’s athletic ability: strength, flexibility, agility and coordination. Gymnastic goals for your horse are to maintain his rhythm, balance and regularity of stride over obstacles, teaching him how to shorten it, change his centre of gravity, and sometimes lengthen the stride when jumping. We certainly recommend gymnastic excercises at least once a month 🤩 and how do you feel about it? ⬇️

Please keep in mind that this is a learning process, as much for us as it is for all of you in our big equestrian community and we should all aim to improve and inspire each other 💫

Ride without stirrups they said, it will be fun they said 🤩😅🤣 (they = our trainer @teakeluc)

Lana and Candy 🐴 prepairing for the up-coming competition season. Riding without stirrups is great ‘in-saddle’ exercise for improving your seat, leg position and you are building the right muscles 💪🏻, etc. 💡 have you tried it yet?

Please keep in mind that this is a learning process, as much for us as it is for all of you in our big equestrian community and we should all aim to improve and inspire each other 💫
